Conwy to Tal y Cafn and return

A spontaneous paddle well OK we chatted on Friday and decided with time constraints to do the Conwy.
A slight delay due to Ga saving Nemo well his daughters fish tank sprung a leak over night so he was faced with a wet carpet and flapping fish on waking up.
We decided to paddle up until the tide changed, that was just prior to the Bodnant gardens but we continued up and onwards.
Gareth’s knowledge of birds was tested and he was rattling the names off as we came across such, and on a few occasions there were some he could not ID.
A quick stop near to the falls and back on with the wind in our face this time and it was cold a NE.
We have been on this river so many times but like Dumb and Dumber we ended up having a little walk on the sands!
Just over 13 miles with the sun breaking through on many occasions.
On landing it was time for some food and a hot drink during which I got my coastal bird book out and we recapped on what Ga had ID.
Shell ducks
Dippers
Red Shanks
Curlews
Oyster catchers
Shags
Herons
Canadian geese
Goldeneyes
A bloomin twitchers dream.
