Porth Daferch to The Bar

Launched from Porth Dinorwic and headed out towards Caernarfon bar....no drink jokes. Used the flow charts and had lunch during the slack, paddled out towards the bar and played on some surf whilst the tide came in and the sands disappeared.
Flew through into the straits and an assisted paddle back to Dinorwic. Very quiet and although dull the rain stayed away and not too cold. My first sea trials of my new dry suit and at the end it was a pleasure to have dry feet, first time for three years. Marked the start on the GPS but after switching it off I only realised at lunch so the track covers the homeward bound trip.
From Memory May traced out another 7 miles from the start so it was approximately 17 miles.
